Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of direct retail experience preferred
  • Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, up to two consecutive hours
  • Able to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders
  • Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues
  • Experience with computers and technology including cash registers and handheld equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of direct retail experience preferred
  • Proficient in customer communication
  • Skilled in providing clear direction to colleagues
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations
  • Resourceful in managing changing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience with retail technology and point-of-sale systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Fulfill customer orders, merchandising, processing new products, or supervising the selling floor in delivering exceptional customer service
  • Lead colleagues in the execution and completion of assigned tasks
  • Role model and provide fast feedback to enhance every customer experience
  • Ensure high-level customer service through problem-solving and customer-focused resolutions
  • Promote Macy's mobile app to enhance the in-store customer experience
  • Meet with People Leaders throughout the day to plan and monitor total store activities
  • Provide continuous feedback to People Leaders to improve customer experience and processes
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures including alarm system access and register settling
  • Lead and participate in maintaining best-in-class merchandise standards
  • Educate colleagues on point of sale technology, radio frequency equipment, and applications to assist in selling and fulfillment
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect, strengthening relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities
