As a full-time Receiving Manager at Natural Grocers, you will be entrusted with the smooth and efficient operation of the receiving department. Your role involves not only overseeing the accurate receipt and processing of incoming products but also managing and training departmental staff. This leadership position requires you to ensure that all procedures comply with the company's standards, from product inspection to inventory management and safety protocols. You will collaborate across departments, serving as a key player in maintaining product quality, stock accuracy, and store readiness. The position is full-time with a salary starting at USD 21.00 per hour and includes mandatory attendance at store meetings, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on store needs. The Receiving Manager leads by example, upholding integrity, responsibility, and excellence while exemplifying world-class customer service as a top priority. Daily responsibilities extend beyond receiving and include the operation of forklifts and pallet jacks, data entry using technology such as SAP and inventory software, managing discrepancies, and maintaining a safe work environment. You will play a crucial role in cross-training staff to ensure versatility and operational efficiency throughout the store. Additionally, you act as Manager on Duty on a scheduled basis, handling various operational aspects such as cash handling, customer service, and responding to emergency situations. This position is ideal for someone with at least 1-2 years of retail or grocery experience, supervisory exposure, and receiving responsibilities. A background in natural foods is advantageous. Candidates must be able to obtain forklift certification and maintain necessary food safety certifications. Mechanical skills, a keen attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities are vital. Being cashier trained and proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook are also important for success in this role.
