Job Description

ContourGlobal, a KKR company, is a prominent Independent Power Producer (IPP) with a global footprint spanning Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Asia. Specializing in the development, acquisition, and operation of electricity generation and storage assets, ContourGlobal manages an impressive portfolio with 5.5 GW of installed capacity across multiple technologies and asset classes. The company is actively expanding its renewable energy portfolio, currently constructing 800 MW of renewable projects and developing nearly 12.6 GW of additional capacity. As part of its strategic focus, ContourGlobal is accelerating the decarbonization of its energy assets, transitioning towards becoming a predominantly renewable energy IPP. This transformation is supported through long-term contracts and innovative power purchase agreements, coupled with advanced energy management solutions that deliver superior value beyond traditional market offerings. The company marks its 20 years of history with a refreshed brand identity under the guiding purpose of 'The Right Power Forward,' symbolizing its commitment to sustainable growth and clean energy innovation.

We are currently seeking a Real Estate Manager - Renewable Energy to join our Business Development team based in Houston, TX with a hybrid work arrangement. This role reports to the Senior Director of North American Business Development and plays a vital role in transforming early-stage site control into assets that are financeable and ready for construction. The Real Estate Manager serves as the central point of accountability for real property readiness, coordinating workstreams throughout the development lifecycle to proactively mitigate risks related to title, surveys, access rights, and third-party property issues. Key responsibilities include managing title commitments, ALTA NSPS surveys, legal descriptions, curative actions, and ensuring alignment with project layouts and financing requirements. The role also involves identifying and resolving access constraints, negotiating necessary agreements with legal, engineering, and construction teams, and overseeing lease and option administration to avoid any contractual or timing gaps.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing complex real property portfolios within renewable energy or similar capital-intensive industries, demonstrating the ability to drive projects through critical development milestones by partnering cross-functionally with teams across legal, engineering, finance, and construction. This position requires strong judgment, entrepreneurial initiative, and a commitment to delivering sustainable energy solutions. ContourGlobal fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging innovation and ownership among employees. We offer a competitive compensation package and flexible work policies to support a healthy work-life balance. Join us in advancing the future of clean energy and making renewable power the natural choice for all.
