The Ready Mix Driver role is a skilled transportation position centered around the safe and efficient delivery of ready mix concrete to various construction sites, company-owned facilities, and customers across Texas. This position operates primarily between two plant locations: Nacogdoches and Center, efficiently distributing concrete in both industrial and residential settings based on business demands. Drivers are responsible for the complete operation of ready mix trucks, ensuring product quality and adherence to safety regulations. The role requires drivers to perform daily vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT guidelines, maintain detailed logs, and operate equipment with a keen eye on gauges and operational standards. This position is suited for individuals with a strong commitment to safety, a professional attitude in all interactions, and effective communication skills. It involves working in varying weather conditions and occasionally handling complex logistical scenarios that require independent judgment and teamwork. Flexibility is a key characteristic, as drivers may work nights, weekends, and sometimes travel or stay away from home. There is also an expectation for experienced drivers to train new employees, fostering knowledge sharing within the team. Overall, this role is critical to the successful completion of construction projects, helping to maintain the high standards Texas Materials is known for while supporting Texas's infrastructure development.
