Job Requirements
- Must have safe driving record
- Must be able to work flexible schedule with varying start and stop times
- Must have Texas Commercial Class A or B Driver's license
- No more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
- No serious moving violations within the past 36 months
- May be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather conditions
- Overtime work, weekends and nights may be required
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and longer at times
- Flexible work schedules including Monday through Sunday availability
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience as a Ready Mixer Truck Operator
- Valid CDL (Class A or B) required
- Previous knowledge of construction and construction products is helpful
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, GPS devices, and load tickets
Job Duties
- Daily perform a pre and post-trip safety check and document any maintenance required
- Fill fuel and water tanks and record fuel and mileage
- Back or drive truck under loading hopper and prepare mixer to receive materials
- Drive truck to designated job site for unloading and deliver concrete products
- Distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions at job site and communicate using the radio
- Assemble concrete chute and control levers to discharge concrete as specified
- Clean truck after unloading and prepare for return to plant
- Replace chutes and ensure everything is secure for travel
- Maintain functionality and appearance of truck using cleaning compounds and PPE
- Refer customer complaints and concerns to supervisor
- Record information on shipping tickets, equipment logs, and timecards
