Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous work experience in similar fine-dining or restaurant establishments preferred
  • Basic understanding of cooking techniques and knife handling skills
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Strong attention to detail and efficiency
  • Problem solving skills, self-motivation, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to quality food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to safely operate culinary equipment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work under high-stress conditions
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing variables in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Preferred previous work experience in similar-style restaurant establishments
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to take direction

  • Ability to work efficiently with strong attention to detail
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
  • Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge and presentation
  • Safely operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools

Job Duties

  • Set up cooking station according to restaurant guidelines, ready for service at time required
  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
  • Restock all items as needed throughout the shift
  • Clean and maintain stations while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills
  • Maintain an understanding and knowledge of proper use and maintenance of all equipment in the station
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas
  • Abide by all company and state guidelines regarding food handling safety and sanitation
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine
  • Maintain regular and punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requires
