Job Description

The position available is a Food Runner/Busser role, which is essential in supporting the front-of-house team and ensuring guests receive prompt and attentive service throughout their visit.

This role requires an individual who can efficiently set and reset dining room tables, assist with clearing tables, refilling beverages, running food, and restocking clean plates, silverware, and glassware. The Food Runner/Busser also plays a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of wait stations and other areas of the restaurant during the shift and at close. Their responsibilities ensure that the dining area is always ready for new guests and that servers can perform their duties effectively without interruption. Employees in this position are expected to deliver hospitality to every guest, promptly honor guest requests or communicate them to the appropriate team member, and adhere to the restaurant’s standards for cleanliness and safety.

In addition to carrying out daily tasks such as cleaning and resetting tables according to restaurant specifications, removing plates once guests have finished, setting up and breaking down workstations for each shift, and maintaining service stations throughout the shift, this role also involves expediting and running food to the dining area. Attention to safety and sanitation is critical, including regular hand washing and ensuring trash is properly disposed of using safety measures. The Food Runner/Busser must comply with all relevant federal, state, and local statutes and the policies and procedures established by Razzoos. Physical demands include the ability to bend, stoop, lift and carry dishes weighing up to 50 pounds, move quickly and carefully around tight spaces such as dining and kitchen areas, and maintain sharp hearing and near vision to communicate effectively in a loud and bustling environment.

Working conditions are dynamic and fast-moving, requiring the employee to manage multiple guest needs and tasks simultaneously while navigating narrow spaces and coping with various background noises. The role also involves exposure to varying temperatures, from the hot kitchen environment to cooler walk-in areas. This position is typically compensated at minimum wage for work done during opening and closing responsibilities but provides an essential foundation for those interested in advancing within the food service industry. Job Duties

  • Deliver hospitality to every guest
  • Honor guest requests or communicate requests to appropriate server, bartender or manager
  • Clean and reset tables according to specifications of restaurant
  • Remove plates and silverware when all guests have finished
  • Set up and break down work area for each shift
  • Restock and maintains service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift
  • Expedite and run food
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment reporting any unsafe procedures or conditions to anyone in management
  • Empty trash cans using appropriate safety and sanitation measures
  • Wash and sanitize hands after removing trash, eating and drinking, using the bathroom, touching own face or hair, or handling food prep
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state and local statutes as well as Razzoos policies and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by a manager at any time
