The role of a server at Razzoo's is integral to maintaining the warm and welcoming environment that defines the restaurant. This position is responsible for serving food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, directly to guests or through service wells in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. The server acts as the face of the establishment, delivering hospitality that ensures guests feel valued and well-cared-for throughout their visit. Responsibilities include suggesting food and drink items, demonstrating knowledge of liquor brands, basic liquor drinks, and specialty drinks unique to Razzoo's. Servers must also handle payments, conduct age verification to comply with ABC regulations, and manage guest liquor consumption responsibly.
In addition to direct guest interaction, this role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, including sanitation of glasses, utensils, bar equipment, and work areas. The server will frequently collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to expedite orders, garnish food and drinks, and ensure that displays of bottles and glasses remain attractive. Attention to detail is required for tasks such as slicing and pitting fruit for garnishes and restocking liquor supplies. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds, move quickly through dining and kitchen areas, and stand or walk for the entire shift.
Throughout their shift, servers at Razzoo's are expected to adhere to all company policies and legal requirements, including maintaining cleanliness, safety, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The position requires successful completion of Razzoo's training program and appropriate certifications such as ABC and Food Handler’s certifications as mandated by law. The working environment is fast-paced, with narrow spaces behind the bar and in dining areas, and servers must manage multiple tasks and guests simultaneously while overcoming background noise and temperature variations.

Job Requirements
- ABC certification as required by state or local laws
- food handlers certification as required by state or local laws
- must be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry items up to 40 lbs, and 40 plus lbs with assistance
- move about the dining and kitchen areas quickly and carefully
- stand/walk during entire shift
- enter and exit kitchen with full hands
- climb ladder when reaching for items that are on upper shelves
- ability to hear with accuracy over loud background noise
- 20/20 near vision, with correction
- manual dexterity
Job Qualifications
- Experience in full service restaurant environment is helpful, but not required
- successful completion of Razzoo's training for this position is required
- must be of legal age to serve liquor in compliance with federal, state or local laws
- must be of legal age to operate certain equipment in compliance with federal, state or local laws
Job Duties
- Deliver hospitality to every guest
- suggest food/drink items
- know liquor brands, basic liquor drinks and Razzoo's specialty drinks
- collect payment for all purchases following appropriate company procedures
- conduct age verification for alcohol service following ABC requirements and company procedures at all times
- reconcile cash drawer and daily sales receipts at end of shift
- manage guest liquor consumption effectively and in accordance with ABC requirements and Razzoo's liquor service agreement
- maintain ongoing cleanliness of glasses, utensils, bar equipment, bar tops, work areas and tables
- fill drink orders directly from guests and from service well printer
- defer all guest questions regarding allergies to the manager on duty
- serve liquor, beer and wine directly to guests
- prepare drinks in accordance with Razzoo's drink recipes and procedures
- expedite and garnish food orders as necessary
- serve food items to guests seated in the bar area
- slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- arrange bottles and glasses to maintain attractive displays and liquor cages
- plan, organize and control the operations of the bar
- stock liquor appropriately when liquor orders arrive
- empty trash cans using appropriate safety and sanitation measures
- alert appropriate personnel to immediately empty trash cans after broken glass has been disposed in them
- wash and sanitize hands after removing trash, eating and drinking, using the bathroom, touching own face or hair, or handling food prep
- maintain a clean and safe environment reporting any unsafe procedures or conditions to anyone in management
- comply with all applicable federal, state and local statutes as well as Razzoo's policies and procedures
- perform additional responsibilities as requested by a manager at any time
