Job Requirements
- Current NC State University student
- Flexible schedule to accommodate event-based shifts including nights and weekends
- Willingness to handle and serve all types of food including meat products
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and recipes
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Attendance at mandatory student employee orientation and training sessions
Job Qualifications
- Current NC State University student with a flexible schedule
- Willingness to handle and serve all types of food including meat products
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and follow both written and verbal instructions and recipes to efficiently and accurately assemble menu items
- Ability to work with a team and effectively communicate
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must attend mandatory student employee orientation and training sessions
Job Duties
- Provide a superior level of customer service
- Properly manage time to set up event spaces with table linens, silverware, glassware, and other catering equipment by event start time
- Break down equipment immediately following event
- Maintain and replenish food and beverage needs throughout event
- Take initiative to work independently and coordinate with catering team as needed
- Use problem solving skills to provide accommodations for clients in a fast-paced setting
- Perform minor housekeeping duties
