The Culinary Innovation Center (CIC) Administrator role plays a pivotal part in supporting PepsiCo's front-end innovation and brand activation strategies. This full-time position involves managing and maintaining the Culinary Innovation Center to ensure it operates efficiently and meets the needs of the PBUS Culinary and Mixology teams. The role is essential to streamlining operations, organizing work environments, and directly supporting chefs and mixologists to enable top-tier culinary experimentation and event presentations. The CIC Administrator is responsible for coordinating ingredient sourcing, maintaining accurate documentation of cleaning and maintenance procedures, and managing equipment calibration, all while adhering to stringent safety protocols defined by Pepsico and ServSafe.

The successful candidate will be proactive, deeply reliable, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced kitchen environment with various stakeholders. They will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Managing multiple requests, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining strong working relationships across different partners within Global R&D are critical components of the role. This position also demands a relentless commitment to safety and a high standard of food preparation execution. The compensation range for this role is between $50,500 and $80,600, with actual salary determined by experience, skills, and location. Job Requirements

  • high school degree/GED
  • ability to manage and learn a wide variety of ingredient and sample characteristics for front end innovation and brand activation
  • ability to manage multiple request and tasks to support the individuals of the workgroup
  • manage time and expectations for group needs
  • effective communication of conflict of requests
  • ability to work in and manage a kitchen environment with responsibilities in maintaining equipment, ingredients, and raw materials
  • ability to manage, prioritize, and maintain strong working relationship across different partners within Global R&D

Job Qualifications

  • high school degree/GED
  • multinational food industry company experience at a consumer goods company
  • culinary experience in restaurants or hotel industry
  • familiarity with common kitchen instruments and food preparation equipment
  • must demonstrate relentless commitment to working safely and maintaining a safe work environment
  • ability to flawlessly execute bench work according to high standards of food preparation
  • must be proactive, reliable, and self-motivated
  • must possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to proactively and positively interface with various R&D functions
  • must be well organized, capture work details and learning and highlight any unexpected learning
  • must possess ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams

Job Duties

  • perform all activities in a safe manner and within the context of all Pepsico and ServSafe safety protocols
  • accurately clean and organize the CIC according to priorities
  • support chefs and mixologist in mise en place and CIC management
  • coordinate ingredient sourcing for culinary and mixology requirements
  • thoroughly document cleaning procedures and maintenance
  • maintain and document CIC inventory
  • responsible for the maintenance and calibration of CIC equipment
  • provide special support for events and presentation
