Job Description

LSG Sky Chefs is one of the world’s leading airline catering and hospitality providers, known for its exceptional service and innovative approach in the aviation industry. With a reputation for excellence, LSG Sky Chefs has been awarded “Airline Caterer of the Year in North America” for both 2023 and 2024. The company operates extensively across North and Latin America, serving a wide range of airline clients and delivering outstanding culinary experiences and hospitality services. LSG Sky Chefs prides itself on the dedication of its employees, who are the foundation of its ongoing success, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across all operations.

This position is based in Dallas, USA and is an on-site role offering a competitive salary of $19.00 per hour. The role of Ramp Safety Clerk is critical within the operations at LSG Sky Chefs, emphasizing safety, compliance, and organization. As a Ramp Safety Clerk, you will play an essential part in maintaining the safety culture on the ramp, focusing on driver safety and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements. Your efforts will help protect the workforce and ensure smooth, safe operational processes in what can often be a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The Ramp Safety Clerk will be the primary individual responsible for the training of new drivers and ongoing re-training to adhere to strict SOPs aligned with airport and regulatory requirements. You will also maintain and update comprehensive records for all drivers, including the processing of Port Authority and Customs identifications, ensuring all documents are current and compliant with local and federal safety regulations. Additionally, managing state inspections, registrations, and insurance identification for the company’s trucks will be a regular part of your duties, ensuring all vehicles meet required safety standards.

This role also involves close collaboration with the Ramp Safety Supervisor, supporting various safety initiatives and performing administrative and clerical tasks as needed. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are crucial, along with strong organizational and communication skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Being flexible with work hours, including availability for nights and weekends, is important due to the nature of airport operations.

Joining LSG Sky Chefs means becoming part of a global leader in airline catering and hospitality with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, valuing the contributions of women, minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. If you have a background in safety, airport operations, or a related field and are passionate about fostering a safe and compliant working environment, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to one of the most respected companies in the airline services industry.
