The role of Ramp Agent/Cabin Cleaner at Quantem Aviation Services is a part-time position paying $17.00 per hour, requiring flexibility with shifts due to flight schedules which include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to fulfill the requirement of obtaining a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seal for this role. The Ramp Agent/Cabin Cleaner is an integral part of an operational team responsible for ensuring safe and efficient aircraft services. Duties encompass the proper loading and unloading of freight with careful adherence to cargo handling guidelines, certification and safe operation of ground support equipment, and verification of shipment documentation. Additionally, this position is responsible for thorough aircraft cabin cleaning, which involves vacuuming, detailed sweeping, wiping, garbage disposal following strict regulatory procedures, and maintaining hygienic standards for passenger and crew compartments.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident status to obtain CBP seal
  • able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per flight schedule
  • able to stand for prolonged periods
  • able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
  • able to climb ladders up to 15 feet
  • able to speak and hear efficiently
  • able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to noise, weather, odors, dust, fuel, and fumes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to verbally communicate in English

  • possesses tact when interacting with employees and clients
  • holds a valid driver's license
  • ability to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection seal

Job Duties

  • Properly and safely loads and unloads freight
  • builds up and breaks down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines
  • holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely
  • obtains proper security documents for all shipments
  • verifies shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness upon receipt
  • verifies shipment pieces and airway bill numbers upon delivery
  • performs aircraft cabin cleaning duties including vacuuming and cleaning of seats, seat back pockets, floors, pantries, galleys, toilets, telephones, windows, flight deck, and passenger and crew compartments
  • removes trash and cleans waste from aircraft
  • correctly handles international garbage as required by regulations
