Job Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
  • have a valid driver’s license
  • possess proficiency in English
  • pass a physical ability test
  • be able to wear company-approved personal protective equipment including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high visibility safety apparel
  • ability to hold airport specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal

Job Duties

  • Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft
  • safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather
  • safely drive and operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion
  • operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately
  • guide incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions
  • adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment
  • assist in maintaining accurate records and communication related to cargo handling
