Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test
  • Must wear required company-approved personal protective equipment including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high visibility safety apparel
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal
  • Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data

Job Duties

  • Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft
  • Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather
  • Safely drive and operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion
  • Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer’s destination
  • Guide incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions to ensure timely connections
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
  • Assist with scheduling based on operational needs including early morning to overnight shifts
