Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to lift and handle heavy baggage and cargo up to 50 lbs or more
  • valid driver's license maintained throughout employment
  • strong communication skills
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and nights
  • basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment
  • ability to pass background checks and comply with airport security regulations
  • attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • fluently read, write, and speak English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • previous experience in aviation or ground handling operations preferred
  • familiarity with aircraft types and airport layouts preferred
  • knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the airport environment preferred
  • experience operating ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and forklifts preferred
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments
  • basic computer skills for paperwork and scheduling
  • strong customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure
  • load and unload cargo and baggage on and off aircraft
  • safely drive and operate ground support equipment including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts to pick up and deliver cargo/bags between the terminal, warehouse and aircraft
  • sort and load baggage
  • perform ground service functions such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service
  • perform aircraft pushback, wing walking and related guide man functions
  • maintain a secure work environment
