Job Requirements
- Must be willing to travel extensively
- Hotel stays are paid for during travel
- Eligible for per diem allowance (details discussed at interview)
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license required
- Must pass background check, drug test, and federal DOT requirements
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Knowledge of state and local roadways
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long durations
- Prior traffic control experience is beneficial
- ATSSA certification preferred
- Clean driving record necessary
- Must be willing to be on rotating on-call schedule
- Mechanical experience required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes
- Basic reading and writing ability
- Knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations
- Good knowledge of state and local roadways
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds for extended periods
- Ability to stand for long periods while performing flagging duties
- Previous experience in traffic control setups is a plus
- Certification from ATSSA as Worksite Traffic Technician or Supervisor is highly preferred
- Mechanical background or experience
- Successful completion of background check and drug test
- Compliance with federal DOT driver requirements
Job Duties
- Position temporary work zones utilizing warning signs, traffic cones, barrels, etc. according to regulatory requirements
- Load and unload work zone equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to/from company vehicle
- Drive company vehicle to and from job sites safely
- Stand and manage traffic control through active work zones using stop/slow paddle and radio communication
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely
- Keep company vehicle clean and report any safety or vehicle issues
- Comply with all RoadSafe policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Drive Management of Traffic (MOT) vehicle to and from project and on work site
- Place arrow board or variable message board in the work area
- Check and maintain the proper placement of work zone items throughout shifts
- Pick up traffic control items at beginning and end of shifts
- Drive Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) vehicle to and from project and on work site
- Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports
- Perform general maintenance and equipment repairs in the shop
