Due to the seasonal nature of horse racing events at Colonial Downs, the role requires a candidate who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, adept at multitasking and maintaining meticulous attention to detail. The job also demands physical endurance as it involves standing and walking for extended periods, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

This opportunity offers a unique experience for those interested in the horse racing industry. Previous experience with horse racing operations or paddock duties is preferred but combinations of education and experience will be considered. A valid Virginia Racing Commission racing license is necessary to fulfill this role.
