Job Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of sous chef experience and 5+ years of kitchen experience
- culinary degree preferred
- extensive knowledge of culinary fundamentals including knife skills, butchery and sauces
- quick service restaurant experience highly desired
- knowledge of food industry, restaurants and competitive markets
- developed communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to work independently and as a team leader
- ability to maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations
- ability to supervise train and motivate multiple levels of employees
- ability to assess employee performance fairly and consistently
- basic knowledge of revenue management
- participation in development of financial and operational goals
- some administrative duties
- must be able to stand and exert mobility for up to 8 hours
- frequent exposure to heat, steam, refrigeration and cleaning chemicals
- ability to lift 30-50 lbs regularly
- occasional pushing or pulling carts/equipment up to 250 lbs
- ability to perform repetitive motions including grasping, writing, standing and walking
- slip-resistant footwear required
