Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in culinary roles or a culinary degree with at least 1 year of hotel or related hospitality experience
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Must comply with state health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • At least 5 years of progressive culinary experience, or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field
  • Food Handlers Certification compliant with state requirements
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure and evaluating situations quickly
  • Strong communication skills to actively listen and effectively convey ideas and solutions

Job Duties

  • Prepare and supervise the preparation of food items, ensuring precision, high standards of quality and presentation
  • Lead and assist kitchen staff to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation and service
  • Anticipate and address kitchen issues proactively to maintain smooth operations
  • Communicate clearly with co-workers and guests to resolve concerns effectively
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to sanitation and safety standards
  • Show initiative in anticipating kitchen needs and taking proactive steps
  • Manage time efficiently to ensure timely food preparation and service
