Job Requirements
- BS degree in Food Science or related major preferred
- 5-7 years of bakery or food manufacturing operations management experience inclusive of 3 years in Food Safety, Sanitation, and QA
- Certification in PCQI, HACCP, Food Defense and GFSI standards
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Willingness to comply with safety and regulatory policies
Job Qualifications
- BS degree in Food Science or related major preferred
- 5-7 years of bakery or food manufacturing operations management experience including 3 years in Food Safety, Sanitation, and QA
- Certified in PCQI, HACCP, Food Defense and GFSI (SQF, BRC, IFS, etc.)
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations
- Experience with 6 sigma, ISO, AIB and GFSI Standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and coaching abilities
Job Duties
- Promote the quality and food safety mission through quality and food safety systems
- Oversee the financial health of the QFS department, creating and maintaining annual budgets
- Lead the growth and development of Team Leaders and Associates
- Build a culture that values the person, the community, and integrity
- Partner with Business Unit leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Uphold and promote E5 Leadership Behaviors: Embrace the Consumer, Ensure Operational Capabilities, Empower and Involve, Engage and Develop, and Expect Ownership and Accountability
- Coach Team Leaders to achieve world-class standards
- Support collaboration across departments to ensure timely production and shipment
- Operate in adherence to quality and food safety policies
- Facilitate problem solving to identify and implement solutions
- Deliver on key performance indicators for People, Quality, Safety, Service, and Cost
- Engage and develop competencies in Team Leaders through training and feedback
- Achieve all safety goals and comply with workplace standards and regulations
- Ensure product quality by addressing issues through scoring, data analysis, and consumer complaints
- Participate in capital investment definitions
- Analyze data to optimize production processes and team success
- Drive programs to reduce consumer complaints and food safety incidents
- Participate in investigations to address root causes and regulatory issues
- Utilize essential digital applications for process efficiency
- Coordinate internal and external audits and certifications
