Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience or training in materials testing preferred
Knowledge of construction and mining site hazards
Ability to perform basic to moderately complex arithmetic calculations
Competency in using computerized equipment and technology
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google tools, and Oracle software
Ability to work onsite full-time and maintain effective communication
Commitment to safety and quality control guidelines

Job Qualifications

Prior training or experience in the materials testing field preferred
Knowledge of aggregate production principles and practices preferred
Awareness of construction and mining site hazards
Good math skills including the ability to perform simple to moderately complex calculations
Proficiency with computerized equipment and software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google, and Oracle Business Environment
Strong communication and documentation skills
Commitment to safety standards and adherence to testing protocols

Job Duties

Ensure quality control by conducting routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials following ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards
Document and report test results accurately and timely to supervisors and databases
Maintain lab standards including housekeeping, troubleshooting, calibrating, and inspecting testing equipment
Monitor stockpiles, material sources, and truckloads to ensure minimal segregation and contamination
Notify management immediately if contamination is detected
Inspect plant equipment regularly to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation
Perform additional duties as assigned
