Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience or training in materials testing preferred
  • Knowledge of construction and mining site hazards
  • Ability to perform basic to moderately complex arithmetic calculations
  • Competency in using computerized equipment and technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google tools, and Oracle software
  • Ability to work onsite full-time and maintain effective communication
  • Commitment to safety and quality control guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Prior training or experience in the materials testing field preferred
  • Knowledge of aggregate production principles and practices preferred
  • Awareness of construction and mining site hazards
  • Good math skills including the ability to perform simple to moderately complex calculations
  • Proficiency with computerized equipment and software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google, and Oracle Business Environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Commitment to safety standards and adherence to testing protocols

Job Duties

  • Ensure quality control by conducting routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials following ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards
  • Document and report test results accurately and timely to supervisors and databases
  • Maintain lab standards including housekeeping, troubleshooting, calibrating, and inspecting testing equipment
  • Monitor stockpiles, material sources, and truckloads to ensure minimal segregation and contamination
  • Notify management immediately if contamination is detected
  • Inspect plant equipment regularly to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
