Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience or training in materials testing preferred
- Knowledge of construction and mining site hazards
- Proficient math skills for arithmetic calculations
- Ability to operate computerized equipment and software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work 100% onsite in office and plant locations
Job Qualifications
- Prior training or experience in the materials testing field is preferred
- Knowledge of general principles and practices of aggregate production is preferred
- Must display knowledge and awareness of construction and mining site hazards
- Good math skills with ability to perform simple to moderately complex arithmetic calculations
- Ability to use computerized equipment and technology proficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Oracle Business Environment, and other relevant software packages
Job Duties
- Ensure quality control by conducting routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at production, shipping, and job site arrival
- Adhere to established testing methods including ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards
- Document and report all test results accurately and timely
- Communicate test outcomes to supervisors and maintain proper documentation in the database
- Maintain lab standards by ensuring housekeeping, troubleshooting problems, reviewing product specifications, and calibrating and maintaining testing equipment
- Monitor stockpiles for segregation and contamination, inspecting materials and truckloads at plant sites and notifying management of contamination issues
- Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and structures to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
