Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Prior experience in food production, catering, or related food industry
- Knowledge of Federal food regulations, standards, and guidelines
- Ability to work in cold environments (below 40°F)
- Ability to lift/push a minimum of 25 lbs
- Proficient in using computer and basic software such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to use equipment such as calculator, weight scales, thermometers, metal detector, ATP testing equipment, mechanical food portioning and processing equipment
- Ability to work with minimum to no supervision
- Ability to act as liaison for Supervisor
- Must be a self-starter and problem solver
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large groups
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays if needed
- Must have early morning availability (4:00 am start time)
- Must be able to obtain SNHD Food Handler Card
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Food industry experience
- Experience with food safety regulations and compliance standards
- Proficiency in basic computer software such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to create and maintain trending charts and SOPs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
- Strong mathematical, analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Problem solving skills
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with large groups
Job Duties
- Maintain and initiate all recordkeeping and key performance indicators pertinent to the Quality Department and Global Quality System (GQS)
- Daily monitor of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for compliance
- Verify coolers and freezer room temperature for compliance
- Perform environmental swabs and microbiological sampling and submit to laboratory for analysis
- Obtain Chef Table samples to verify compliance to specification
- Assist the Quality Manager in training and daily initiatives addressing quality, food safety, and sanitation
- Conduct workstation inspections to verify compliance including gold standard verification, specs, sanitizer, food temperatures, HACCP documentation, and PHF set-up
- Conduct portion control weight compliance to specifications
- Conduct inspection checks on dispatch, galley, non-bonded, bonded, and equipment
- Verify Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) logs and other documents are accurately completed daily
- Create charts, trending reports, training materials, and visuals
- Maintain and monitor standards and train employees in compliance to Regulated Garbage Standards to meet USDA requirements
- Support the Jump-off (commissary) locations with oversight
- Train hourly employees as needed
- Perform other tasks as requested
