Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable company specializing in providing top-tier services that enhance the cleanliness and livability of apartment communities. The company is widely recognized for its commitment to maintaining safe, welcoming, and hygienic environments for residents. Valet Living offers innovative solutions and dependable personnel to ensure that residential properties are managed efficiently with high standards of service. The organization places a significant emphasis on reliability, community impact, and customer satisfaction, which has made it a trusted partner to many property management companies across the United States.
As a part-time Trash Collector (Service Valet) at Valet Living, you will be playing a crucial role in supporting apartment communities by collecting trash and recycling bags from residents' doorsteps and transporting them to the on-site trash compactor. This role is designed for individuals who prefer hands-on, physically active jobs that keep them moving throughout their shift. Unlike traditional waste collection jobs, this position does not involve the heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or dumping, making it more accessible to a broad range of applicants. Your own personal transportation, specifically an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of hauling a trailer, is required for this position.
This role allows you to work part-time hours, primarily during evening shifts typically scheduled from Sunday to Thursday, starting at 7:00 or 8:00 PM. You can expect to work around 8-10 hours per week, which makes this an ideal position for individuals looking to supplement their income while maintaining flexibility. The company prioritizes assigning you to properties near your home to minimize commute time and increase convenience.
In your daily duties, you will be using a mobile app provided by the company to document service details, including your arrival and departure times, tracking your rounds, and noting any instances of non-compliance through photographs. This incorporation of technology streamlines communication and ensures accountability. In addition to the operational tasks, you will need to be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, walking long distances, climbing stairs, and physically handling bags weighing up to 50 pounds.
Valet Living offers competitive pay rates for this role, with drivers who have trucks or trailers earning $18 per hour, and helpers earning $16 per hour. The company also offers many benefits that create a positive work environment, such as safety gear provisions including gloves and vests, referral bonuses, opportunities for career advancement into leadership roles, and fast access to earnings through DailyPay. Valet Living fosters a culture that values diversity, hard work, and making a meaningful difference in the communities it serves. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, the company ensures a discrimination-free workplace and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
This role is particularly well-suited for individuals who enjoy staying active while working, seek flexible part-time evening shifts, and want a job that offers consistent pay and career growth potential. If you meet the requirements and enjoy contributing to community cleanliness and well-being, Valet Living provides an excellent opportunity to engage in rewarding work that makes a visible impact. The application process is ongoing, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply to become part of a dependable and community-focused team.
