Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
  • must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state
  • flexible and long hours sometimes required
  • ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently
  • ability to stand during entire shift
  • must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with Expotel Hospitality Service standards
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and nametag
  • comply with Expotel Hospitality Service standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations
  • maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees
  • use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees
  • practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests, employees, and self
  • handle items for lost and found according to hotel standards
  • turn in all keys and assignment sheets to Housekeeping Office at the end of the shift
  • report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
  • be familiar with correct guestroom cleaning procedures to assist if needed
  • deliver clean linen to assigned sections if necessary
  • pick up room attendant’s dirty linen or trash as needed
  • collect and dispose of trash from service landings according to hotel procedures before leaving
  • vacuum guest corridors
  • keep hallways, public areas, and closets neat and organized
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation in public restrooms
  • adhere to schedule for project cleaning of public areas
  • maintain stairwells to hotel standards
  • keep ash urn clean and filled with sand
  • attend meetings or training as required by management
  • perform other duties as requested by management
