Job Description

This job opportunity is with a hospitality establishment that is currently seeking a dedicated Public Housekeeper to join their Rooms Department. The company is focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming guest environment, which is essential to the reputation and success of any hotel or hospitality business. The Public Housekeeper role, reporting directly to the Director of Housekeeping and Laundry, plays a vital part in ensuring that all public areas of the property are sanitized, organized, and pristine for guests and employees alike.

The position involves comprehensive duties, encompassing various cleaning and maintenance tasks within several offices, employee locker rooms, and other common areas. This full-time role offers an hourly pay range of $15 to $16, along with a $500 sign-on bonus after 60 days of continuous full-time employment, contingent upon meeting attendance and performance expectations. The Public Housekeeper is essential to creating a positive first impression for anyone who visits or works at the property, handling responsibilities such as cleaning restrooms, office spaces, and locker facilities, vacuuming, waste removal, and window cleaning, as well as wall maintenance. Moreover, this role demands regular stocking and upkeep of supply closets to ensure cleaning materials and products are always available and organized.

This position requires individuals who are physically capable of managing routine tasks, including standing for extended periods, walking, and handling physical tasks such as lifting. The successful candidate should be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds safely and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Flexibility is also critical, as the role may require working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements
