The role of Public Area Attendant is pivotal in maintaining the hotel's cleanliness and ensuring that all public spaces are pristine and welcoming. This position demands individuals who possess exceptional communication skills and are capable of delivering superior guest service. The Public Area Attendant will be responsible for regular cleaning and upkeep of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other public areas to uphold the hotel's high standards. This role involves constant interaction with guests, requiring a friendly and approachable demeanor, as well as the ability to respond promptly and courteously to any guest concerns. The job is physically active, involving pushing and pulling moderate weights, and requires efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting. We also provide a unique Virtual Reality Experience for new hires to immerse themselves in the day-to-day life of a hospitality professional at our full-service hotel, enhancing their understanding and preparation for the role.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • physical ability to push and pull moderate weight
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • commitment to providing excellent guest service

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and move equipment
  • basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

Job Duties

  • maintain cleanliness of all public areas including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms
  • respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests
  • perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
  • push and pull equipment and supplies required for cleaning
  • report maintenance issues and safety hazards to management
  • collaborate with team members to ensure consistent service quality
  • uphold hotel standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction
