Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping experience highly preferred
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to exert physical force up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Attendance at required meetings and trainings
  • Compliance with company standards for appearance and safety
  • Ability to problem-solve and handle issues effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to work flexible and long hours
  • Ability to cross-train in hotel-related areas

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience highly preferred

  • Attend all hotel required meetings and training
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
  • Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming including uniform, PPE and nametag
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Maximize productivity, identify problems and assist with solutions
  • Effective problem handling including anticipating, preventing and resolving issues
  • Ability to understand and apply complex information
  • Ability to cross-train in other hotel-related areas

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests, fellow employees and self
  • Handle items for lost and found according to hotel standards
  • Turn in all keys and assignment sheets to Housekeeping Office at the end of the shift
  • Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • Be familiar with correct guestroom cleaning procedures to assist if needed
  • Deliver clean linen to assigned sections if necessary
  • Pick up Room Attendant's dirty linen or trash as needed
  • Collect trash from service landings and dispose in outside dumpsters per procedures
  • Vacuum guest corridors
  • Keep hallways, public areas and closets neat and organized
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in public restrooms
  • Adhere to schedule for project cleaning of public areas
  • Maintain stairwells to hotel standards
  • Keep ash urns clean and filled with sand
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
