P/T Food Service Workers (3.75 hours) (*District Wide)

In this role, the employee will be responsible for assisting with various aspects of lunch meal preparation including making sandwiches, bagging meals, and preparing fruit, salad, and cooked vegetables. The position requires operating a cash register or point-of-sale system efficiently during lunch meal service hours and serving food from multiple stations such as the hot food counter, deli, and pizza sections. Employees are expected to maintain cleanliness and organization by breaking down and cleaning work areas, restocking serving lines with items like condiments, milk, fruit, vegetables, and entrees, as well as washing dishes, pots, and pans. Additionally, the role involves sweeping and mopping floors and storing stock and non-food supplies appropriately. Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned is essential to support the dynamic needs of the meal service operation.

The position demands strong teamwork, communication skills, and a customer service-oriented attitude to effectively interact with colleagues and students. Employees must meet physical requirements such as regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and must be capable of completing duties within set time frames to ensure smooth meal service. Availability for potential extra working hours is also required to respond to fluctuating service demands.

This is a part-time employment opportunity with tentative working hours from 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The starting pay rate is $14.57 per hour, which may vary depending on experience.
