Job Description
Ahold Delhaize USA is a prominent division of the global retail giant Ahold Delhaize, headquartered in the Netherlands. Job Requirements
- Ability to use computers and smart devices
- Perform repetitive hand and arm motions
- Bend and lift products up to 15 lbs continuously, 25 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally
- Pull or push up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Handle cleaning and packaging materials safely
- Stand 100% of the time with frequent short walks
- Frequent reaching and grasping at various levels
- Meet volume activity standards
- Tolerate working in extreme temperatures for up to 20 minutes
- Have sufficient visual ability to check IDs
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements
- Must meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions
Job Duties
- Smile and greet customers using their names when possible
- Provide prompt, accurate and friendly service
- Shop multiple customer orders using designated tools
- Recognize and differentiate produce varieties
- Substitute items as requested
- Scan, bag and label purchases efficiently
- Verify customer IDs for alcohol sales
- Assist customers with order pickups
- Complete accountability forms for orders
- Adhere to Food Lion uniform and dress code
- Control store expenses by proper use of supplies
- Observe and correct unsafe conditions
- Notify QA of cleaning or maintenance needs
- Complete required computer-based training
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Meet physical requirements of the position
