Job Requirements

High school education or equivalent preferred
customer service experience preferred
ability to operate designated tools and equipment
knowledge of produce varieties
ability to handle physical demands including lifting and standing
must complete computer-based training
meet age requirements for job functions
good communication skills
willingness to work as part of a team
adherence to company policies and dress code

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Smile and greet each customer using their name when possible
provide prompt, accurate and friendly service
engage customers to create a positive shopping experience
exhibit behaviors aligned with Food Lion's guiding principles and core values
shop multiple customer orders using designated tools
recognize and differentiate between types of produce
substitute items when requested
scan, bag, and label purchases efficiently and accurately
verify customer IDs and comply with store policies on alcoholic beverages
assist customers picking up orders
complete Accountability Form for end-to-end process
be courteous and helpful to other associates
wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge and maintain neat appearance
control store expenses through proper use of supplies
adhere to company guidelines, policies, and practices
observe and correct unsafe conditions
notify QA of cleaning or maintenance issues in To-Go area
successfully complete CBT and training courses
perform other assigned duties
meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations
