We are currently seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented Floor Staff team members to join our team. This role is integral to the day-to-day operations within the theatre, representing Regal in various capacities such as the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. The position demands someone who can provide outstanding guest service, ensure operational standards are met, and create an inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Floor Staff are responsible not only for the direct interaction with guests but also for the behind-the-scenes activities that support smooth theatre operations. This includes handling cash accurately, ensuring food safety compliance, addressing emergency situations, maintaining cleanliness in guest areas, and adhering to company dress code policies.

Depending on scheduling and business needs, Floor Staff may be assigned duties that range from ticket sales and scanning at the Box Office, food and beverage preparation and sales at the Concession Stand, to ushering patrons to their seats while monitoring auditorium conditions. Employees must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, communicate clearly, and engage positively with guests and team members alike. Additionally, if assigned to roles involving alcohol sales or service, employees must comply with all state and federal legal requirements, including completing required certification programs. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work variable, part-time, or full-time hourly shifts based on theatre needs and employee availability
  • Must comply with company dress code
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, talk, and hear frequently
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • Must meet vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Ability to handle emergency situations when called upon
  • Must maintain regular and consistent attendance
  • Willingness to undergo and complete training, including topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination
  • At least 18 years of age if assigned duties include selling or serving alcohol according to state or local laws

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion
  • Good public speaking ability
  • Effective listening skills and clear, direct responses
  • Ability to perform calculations with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to identify and correct errors
  • Ability to identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes

  • Excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management
  • Ability to establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives
  • If applicable, completion of legally required state or local alcohol sales and serving training and obtaining the required certificate
  • Completion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University

Job Duties

  • Operate POS system, including proper handling and responsibility for accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons as well as concession stock inventory
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession related equipment
  • Upsell and suggestive selling
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
  • Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and meal periods
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stub, and direct patrons to their auditoriums
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats in auditoriums when necessary
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system
  • Conduct in theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and help maintain a safe quality environment within the auditoriums
  • Report to management any problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations that arise at the theatre
  • Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management
  • Clean auditoriums at the end of scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways, and other areas outside of the auditorium
  • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
  • Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management
