Ace Surface Maintenance is currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join their team as a Day Porter. This is a full-time position based in Phoenix, Arizona, with a schedule that includes working on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. The pay is dependent on experience, providing an opportunity for candidates to grow with the company based on their skills and work ethic.

The role of Day Porter at Ace Surface Maintenance is a multifaceted position involving cross-training on operating various maintenance equipment. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with sweeping units, power washing equipment, and portering tasks. Responsibilities include using high-pressure water systems to clean and sanitize various surfaces, ensuring that properties remain spotless and well-maintained. The position also requires proficiency in operating and maintaining professional-grade pressure washing equipment, as well as the ability to safely drive company vehicles, including towing commercial trailers and navigating tight spaces.

As a sweeping operator, the Day Porter will manage backpack blowers used to remove trash, debris, and leaves and operate sweeping vehicles that clean streets and parking lots. The role includes conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, securing necessary supplies before equipment operation, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

In the portering aspect of the job, responsibilities focus on waste management and general property cleanliness. This includes removing and replacing garbage bags, cleaning dumpster areas and trash enclosures during every visit, picking up litter in bushes and islands, wiping down windowsills and trash receptacles, removing cobwebs, gum, and spills, and ensuring the overall appearance of the property exceeds cleanliness standards. Effective communication with management is critical for reporting large items or any issues encountered on-site.

Ace Surface Maintenance provides all essential tools and personal protective equipment required to perform these tasks, including shovels, brooms, gloves, cleaning supplies, and PPE.
