Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • College and/or culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of progressive cook or kitchen experience
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels in and outside the organization
  • Capable of problem-solving with team members
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Willing to work extended hours with physically demanding tasks
  • Prefer 2 or more years as a cook in a restaurant or hotel with outstanding service reputation

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive cook or kitchen experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group standards
  • Conduct daily line checks and ongoing audits for food consistency and quality
  • Implement improvements and develop standard operating procedures
  • Ensure food presentation matches use records and photographs
  • Follow procurement guidelines for cost control and manage company assets
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by adhering to food and beverage standards and addressing concerns
  • Maintain food safety and storage standards in compliance with regulations
  • Manage workload effectively and communicate clearly
  • Promote a professional and collaborative work environment
