Job Requirements

high school education or equivalent preferred at least one year as a barista or related customer service position preferred ability to work long hours medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly ability to bend stretch twist or reach work under variable temperatures and noise levels near vision ability to see details at close range standing for long periods fluency in English ability to work in stressful high pressure situations multitask continuously

Job Qualifications

high school education or equivalent preferred at least one year as a barista or related customer service position preferred strong knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation excellent interpersonal and communication skills ability to work in a fast-paced environment good cash handling skills and accuracy prior safety and security awareness preferred ServSafe or alcohol certification if applicable

Job Duties

be a friendly face arriving at work on time to get the cafe set up and ready to open keeping the area clean and attractive throughout the day performing all cleaning duties including floors tables buffet and sidework duties closing the outlet be a host as well as a server greeting guests upselling food and beverage making helpful suggestions answering questions remembering names or favorite choices offering a friendly smile and local information be a beverage professional understanding the product serving prompt excellent service handling cash and credit accurately follow safety and security policies anticipate problems and call management as needed obtain ServSafe or alcohol training if required
