Job Requirements
- Associate degree in Baking and Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts
- minimum 3 years industry related experience
- at least 1 year teaching experience
- ability to upload unofficial transcripts and training certifications
- ability to submit official transcripts or proof of education completion prior to hire
- credential evaluation for education obtained outside US
- submission of DD Form 214 for veterans' preference
- compliance with CFCC non-discrimination policies
- ability to maintain physical and mental fitness for job duties
- availability for continuous employment
- adherence to safety and procedural standards
- capacity to perform teaching and administrative functions
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in Baking and Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts
- 3 years of baking, culinary, or hospitality industry related experience
- 1 year of teaching experience
- knowledge of organizational and management practices
- understanding of relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- familiarity with academic and instructional program development
- skilled in curriculum development and instructional strategies
- awareness of current trends and research in baking and pastry arts
- ability to interpret and apply college and government policies
- skill in problem analysis and solution implementation
- effective direction of academic programs
- ability to gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion
- strong interpersonal skills
- good audio-visual perception for observation, communication, and operation of equipment
- physical ability to stand, sit, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle varied tasks simultaneously
- mental capacity for sound decision making and intellectual tasks
Job Duties
- Plan, direct, and participate in instruction for the Baking and Pastry Arts program
- develop supplemental materials and tests
- maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
- participate in curriculum development and instructional coordination
- monitor and evaluate service delivery methods and procedures
- develop instructional materials with program director approval
- assess material, supply, and equipment needs
- submit supply requests
- maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
- participate in recruitment and retention efforts
- coordinate program publications and community relations activities
- collaborate with industry partners and faculty on current techniques and trends
- coordinate activities with student services for admission, progression, and graduation policies
- ensure adherence to safe work practices
- perform related duties as required
