- Must be at least 16 years old
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- passion for animals and willingness to learn about pet care
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- provide knowledgeable recommendations on pet products and services
- handle customer transactions at the register accurately and efficiently
- stock shelves and ensure product displays are neat and organized
- assist in receiving and processing shipments
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the store including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning up pet messes
- care for live animals in the store such as fish, birds, reptiles, and small animals
- monitor animal health and report any concerns to management
- educate customers on proper pet care and product usage
- work cooperatively with team members and management
- participate in team meetings and training sessions
- support store promotions and events
