Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in maintenance or similar roles preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs, climbing stairs and ladders, and sustained bending and twisting
- Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities in a hotel environment
- Availability to work full-time hours
- Willingness to comply with company policies including drug-free workplace
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in property maintenance or hospitality preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- Shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
- Performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
- Performing light plumbing tasks such as plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
- Conducting preventative maintenance programs and public space janitorial work
- Maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
- Cleaning PTAC units, drywall repair, painting, and caulking
- Maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
- Prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
- Knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
- Performing other duties as assigned
