The Property Attendant role at WoodSpring Suites is a vital position responsible for ensuring that the property operates smoothly and maintains a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This hands-on role requires a dedicated team player who is flexible and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. Duties include general preventative maintenance such as performing light electrical and plumbing repairs, cleaning public areas, assisting with housekeeping by prepping rooms, and helping with laundry tasks. The Property Attendant is also tasked with managing maintenance work orders punctually and maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.

Beyond maintenance, the role involves ensuring the property complies with emergency procedures and security protocols to safeguard guests and staff. Physically, this job requires the ability to perform activities that involve repetitive climbing, bending, twisting, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hotel maintenance or property attendance preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Commitment to following safety and emergency procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in hotel maintenance or general property upkeep preferred

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • Shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • Performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • Executing light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
  • Conducting public space janitorial work and parking lot upkeep
  • Maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • Prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
  • Knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • Performing other duties as assigned
