The role offered by Prairie Band Casino & Resort focuses on the development, coordination, and execution of promotional events and marketing initiatives aimed at driving new player trips to the property and increasing revenue streams. A candidate in this role will collaborate across departments including advertising, IT, direct mail, and food and beverage to ensure seamless promotion delivery. The responsibilities also involve proofing marketing materials, managing event budgets, and responding to guest inquiries, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism and adhering strictly to company and regulatory policies. This role requires someone who is not only organized and detail-oriented but also an effective communicator and enthusiastic about providing an enjoyable and memorable experience for guests. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to work within a flexible shift schedule, including split days off, to effectively manage the demands of event planning in a fast-paced casino environment. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of gaming experience or 3+ years of professional event experience may substitute for degree requirement
  • must be dependable and flexible to work various shifts including split days off
  • ability to speak effectively before large groups of customers
  • excellent customer service, communication and telephone skills
  • ability to negotiate with vendors
  • strong decision making, planning and organizational skills
  • friendly, outgoing, professional and team player
  • must have a record of satisfactory performance and reliability in prior and current employment

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of gaming experience or 3+ years of professional event experience may substitute for degree requirement

  • previous experience with entertainment bookings preferred
  • experience in a gaming related field preferred

Job Duties

  • assists in executing marketing programs that drive new trips to the property, incent incremental player trips, increase gaming revenue and maintain customer loyalty
  • assists in the planning and implementation of all special events, promotions and entertainment
  • assists in the emceeing of all promotions, events and entertainment as needed
  • assists in proofing advertising, direct mail, special event and promotion collateral to ensure copy and variable data is accurate
  • coordinates support from other departments to ensure promotion execution and awareness
  • adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
  • participate in meetings to develop ideas for future promotions and events as needed
  • record expenses for each event and promotion
  • respond to inquiries from customers for information regarding upcoming events, promotions, and entertainment
  • responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promotion a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests
  • develops promotion and event proposals within defined budgetary and strategic parameters
  • develops implementation timelines and task lists and coordinates all aspects of promotions and events with advertising, it, direct mail, food & beverage, etc.
  • reconciles event manifests, vendor invoices and assists with analysis of promotions and events
  • resolves guest complaints and disputes, exercising discretion and judgment
  • other duties as assigned
