Job Description

Lifepoint Health is a nationally recognized leader in community-based healthcare, committed to improving the health of communities across the United States. With a diversified healthcare delivery network that spans 29 states, Lifepoint Health operates 63 community hospital campuses, 32 rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals, and more than 170 additional sites of care. These include acute rehabilitation units, outpatient centers, and post-acute care facilities. The company's mission, Making Communities Healthier, drives all efforts to provide quality care and support to patients and their families. Lifepoint Health prioritizes creating work environments where employees are empowered and supported, fostering a diverse and determined workforce capable of driving quality improvements, scalability, and significant impact in healthcare delivery.

The Director, LBS Projects, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting role is a full-time, hybrid position that requires onsite presence at least three days per week during regular daytime hours. This role is crucial within the Lifepoint Business Services (LBS) Accounting team, which supports financial operations across all lines of business through accurate reporting, compliance, and process improvement. The Projects, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting team specifically manages the accounting lifecycle for capital projects, fixed assets, and leases, ensuring financial integrity and operational consistency throughout Lifepoint Health's facilities and business units.

As the Director for this team, you will lead the oversight and management of project accounting—from initiation through analysis and reporting across multiple lines of business. You will develop and maintain business processes, policies, and documentation related to Oracle Projects to ensure precise and consistent accounting practices. Working closely with facility and division leadership, you will guide project initiation decisions, finance versus operating project determinations, capital budgeting, and forecasting efforts. This role also involves implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure balance sheet accounts are fully supported with appropriate documentation and roll forwards.

Your day-to-day activities will include overseeing general ledger, subledger, and journal entry analysis utilizing powerful reporting tools such as OTBI, FDI, and EPM. Providing guidance and support to team members interacting with facility and operations leadership is essential, as is identifying and driving process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, standardization, and cost-effectiveness. Conducting profit and loss and balance sheet analyses for projects, fixed assets, and leases, with insightful commentary, will be part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate extensively with LBS Site Liaison, Financial Operations, and Technical Accounting teams to address complex accounting inquiries, support annual budgeting and forecasting, and maintain compliance with company policies.

Lifepoint Health offers comprehensive benefits including multiple levels of medical, dental, and vision coverage for both full-time and part-time employees. Financial protection includes life, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity insurance, short- and long-term disability, paid family leave, and paid time off. There are also opportunities for financial and career growth through tuition assistance, loan assistance, and a 401(k) retirement package with company match. Employee well-being is prioritized with mental, physical, and financial wellness programs including free gym memberships, virtual care appointments, mental health services, and discount programs. Lifepoint encourages ongoing professional development through continuous learning and career advancement opportunities. This position requires up to 10 percent overnight travel by land or air and demands regular and reliable attendance to ensure team success and organizational goals are met. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
