The Project Superintendent role at Baker Construction is a pivotal position that requires a seasoned professional capable of overseeing medium to large projects with a focus on quality, safety, and productivity. As a Project Superintendent, you will directly manage subordinate superintendents and oversee the profitable installation of project work, ensuring all aspects of the project align with company standards and client expectations. The role demands a strategic thinker who is comfortable coordinating with diverse teams, including other trades, and maintaining high-level client relationships through professional conduct and effective communication. You will be responsible for fostering the company's Safety, Quality, and Productivity (SQP) culture, ensuring the onsite environment promotes not only efficiency but also the well-being of every team member.

In this role, you will engage in detailed planning, work coordination, and execution to meet project goals on time and within budget. Your leadership will directly impact project success, requiring you to oversee and direct staff, promote strong client and industry relations, and uphold strict safety standards. This position involves an element of travel, up to 25%, allowing you to work on various job sites and projects, gaining a breadth of experience and exposure.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • six years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • line and grade experience
  • foreman experience
  • in-depth knowledge and experience of formwork systems
  • may require appropriate craft certifications
