NYSERDA's Bulk Energy Storage (BES) Program is at the forefront of this mission, leading the charge in deploying clean, safe, affordable, and reliable utility-scale energy storage across the state. The program is tasked with procuring 3,000 megawatts of bulk energy storage to support New York's aggressive target of deploying 6,000 megawatts of energy storage by 2030. By utilizing an innovative Index Storage Credit incentive, the program has garnered significant interest, especially in its 2025 solicitation. As the program enters a critical phase, NYSERDA is seeking talented and motivated professionals to join the BES team as Project Manager II or Senior Project Manager.

In this role, the selected candidate will provide essential program support by managing bulk energy storage contracts, supporting procurement development, and guiding the program's evolution in areas such as reporting and settlements. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that projects move smoothly from award through completion and into operation. Serving as the primary point of contact for bulk energy storage projects, the Project Manager II/Senior Project Manager will coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, including developers, regulators, utilities, system operators, and investors. This position requires excellent project management skills, energy industry knowledge, and the ability to lead within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
