The role of Project Manager - Aviation is critical to the successful implementation and completion of multiple concurrent airside and landside capital projects at an international airport facility. This position requires a high level of expertise in aviation engineering and project management, overseeing projects from inception during the design development stage, through to construction and closeout. The Project Manager serves as the primary representative for projects, establishing standards for project documentation including meeting minutes and records, while ensuring designers and contractors meet the required quality standards. Responsibilities include facilitating coordination and communication among various airport divisions and external regulatory agencies such as the FAA, TSA, utility companies, and other federal, state, and local bodies.
The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of different project delivery methods including design-bid-build, design-build, and construction manager at risk, enabling them to effectively manage the dynamics of airport construction projects. Quality control remains a priority, with the Project Manager overseeing design and construction processes, handling requests for information, submittals, samples, and shop drawings with a meticulous eye for detail. Preparation and maintenance of comprehensive Project Management Plans, budget tracking, contract administration, billing, and scheduling are essential components of the role.
Additionally, the Project Manager ensures the implementation and execution of Quality Programs, reviews reports and findings with an ability to adapt and modify projects as necessary. They act as the main liaison between the client and project team, developing project scopes and proposals, coordinating key events, leading client and internal project meetings, and guaranteeing the successful delivery of final projects to clients. Safety compliance and contractor safety oversight form a significant part of the role, ensuring a safe working environment throughout the project's lifecycle. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- PE license required
- 8-10 years of relevant aviation engineering experience
- Knowledge of FAA funding and guidelines
- Experience with airport project design and management
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- PE license
- 8-10 years of experience including aviation engineering experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
- Knowledge in FAA funding, FAA guidelines including pavement design advisory circulars
- Experience designing and managing aviation projects and developing plans, specifications, and estimates for airport agencies
- Superior knowledge of FAA airport circulars and engineering design, bidding, construction administration, and management of airport projects

- Familiar with a variety of projects and project delivery methods including design-bid-build, design-build, and construction manager at risk
- Provides quality control for administration procedures, design, and construction processes
- Manages requests for information, submittals, samples, and shop drawings
- Prepares comprehensive project management plans and tracks project budgets, contracts, billing, and schedules
- Ensures quality program implementation and execution
- Reviews project reports and findings, making modifications as needed
- Acts as primary agent between client and project team developing project scopes and proposals, coordinating events, leading client and internal meetings, and delivering final projects
