The role of Project and Logistics Manager at United Rentals is a pivotal position responsible for driving the success of large scale projects, especially those that involve complex Power and HVAC products and applications, notably in special events and entertainment sectors. Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- High level technical working knowledge of power and HVAC products and applications
- Strong customer service and relationship skills
- Extensive logistics, project management and leadership experience in large scale projects using power and HVAC products
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, RentalMan)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 75 percent throughout year to projects or events and remain onsite for project duration
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Participate in pre-project planning meetings and strategy sessions involving region and local leadership
- Manage project team logistics team day-to-day activities including scheduling, equipment setup/deployment, and breakdown
- Staff each project or event adequately based on skills and workload
- Ensure all equipment is ready for operation and safety checks are performed
- Responsible for optimization of equipment performance and overseeing any troubleshooting
- Provide leadership and supervision needed to consistently deliver world-class service to external customers at the project site
- Responsible for performance management of project employees including skills training and regular coaching in one-on-one sessions and team meetings
- Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication
