Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in event coordination or related field
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- excellent communication abilities
- physical ability to set up and break down event materials outdoors
- customer service orientation
- proficiency with basic computer applications
Job Qualifications
- Event production or coordination experience
- strong oral and written communication skills
- hospitality-minded with a focus on guest experience
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and Dropbox
- ability to work on a small team and shift between administrative, creative, and event production tasks
- content creation, photography, video, writing, graphic design, or social media experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Coordinate programs under the direction of the Programming and Events Manager and execute them on a schedule established with the PEM
- provide administrative support to the PEM including setting up event listings, procuring event permits, event coordination and vendor outreach, managing mailing lists, designing flyers and graphics, organizing files, records, and supplies
- maintain positive relationships with vendors and partners critical to programming success
- collect and organize data related to programming
- research and suggest new programming ideas and partners
- set up, staff, and break down events and act as the point person on assigned events
- greet and interact with guests in the park
- work outdoors in various weather conditions and staff programs during evenings and weekends
