Job Description
CFS is collaborating with a nationally recognized professional association to hire a dedicated Program Coordinator based in Glen Burnie, MD. The Program Coordinator role is crucial within this vibrant organization. Initially, the Program Coordinator position is offered on a contractual basis, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role for the right candidate. Reporting directly to the Program Committee Manager, the role involves hands-on management of awards programs, including handling nominations, selections, communications with nominees and winners, and the distribution of awards. Additionally, the role encompasses coordinating committee appointments, managing applications, reviewing eligibility, and onboarding new committee members. Database maintenance and the administration of supporting systems are essential parts of the job, ensuring all member data and program metrics are up to date and accurate.
Beyond managing data and systems, the Program Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for internal staff and member inquiries related to programs and committees. Collaboration with vendors for the procurement and delivery of awards and recognition materials is also a key responsibility. The role involves preparing detailed written materials such as program documentation, reports, and recognition content, supporting the planning and execution of awards presentations, and participating in annual meetings. Importantly, the Program Coordinator monitors data integrity, generates comprehensive reports, and identifies improvements in workflows and processes to enhance program effectiveness. This position demands a proactive individual who can lead system updates, testing, and enhancements by working closely with internal teams and external vendors.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with an 8.5-hour workday split between two days in the Glen Burnie office and three days working remotely. This hybrid arrangement supports work-life balance and employee productivity. A competitive salary ranging from $73,000 to $75,000 is offered for this position, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required. Candidates should also be comfortable with occasional travel, particularly to attend the annual meeting, which plays a significant role in the organization’s programming and community engagement.

Job Duties
- Manage the full lifecycle of awards programs including nominations selection communication and distribution
- coordinate committee appointments including application intake eligibility review and onboarding
- maintain and administer databases and systems supporting committees and awards programs
- track committee membership terms and compliance requirements including conflict-of-interest disclosures
- serve as primary point of contact for internal staff and member inquiries related to programs and committees
- partner with vendors to procure and deliver awards and recognition materials
- prepare written materials including program documentation reports and recognition content
- support planning and execution of awards presentations and annual meeting activities
- monitor data integrity generate reports and produce program metrics and committee statistics
- collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve workflows
- lead system updates testing and enhancements in coordination with internal teams and vendors
