Job Description
ProDrivers is a reputable logistics and delivery company specializing in medical equipment and supply transportation. Dedicated to providing reliable, professional, and timely delivery services, ProDrivers caters primarily to healthcare providers, patients, clinics, and hospitals. With years of expertise in last-mile delivery solutions, ProDrivers emphasizes the importance of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction in all its operations. The company is known for its commitment to employee training and support, ensuring that its drivers are well-equipped to handle delicate and critical medical products with utmost care. As an employer, ProDrivers offers a stable work environment with consistent schedules and a strong focus on the welfare of its staff through benefits like medical, dental, vision insurance, and IRA options.
The available position of Non CDL and CDL Truck Driver at ProDrivers is a local route driving job focused on delivering medical equipment and supplies to various healthcare locations and patient homes. This role is perfect for drivers who excel in structured, routine routes and enjoy engaging directly with customers, particularly in sensitive healthcare environments. Drivers in this role are responsible for a last-mile, white glove delivery service, which requires handling medical products such as IV bags, medications, dialysis machines, and other renal care supplies. The position ensures that every delivery is completed with professionalism, care, and timely arrival.
The driver will be operating a straight truck equipped with a liftgate, making use of specialized equipment such as stair climbers and motorized pallet jacks. The job involves about 10 to 15 stops daily, offering a balance of active, physical work and customer interaction. Flexibility is required with start times potentially as early as 5:00 am, though the typical working window is between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work. Drivers must also be proficient with electronic logs (ELDs) and handheld tablets for effective route documentation and communication.
ProDrivers provides a 3-day paid onsite training to ensure that drivers are comfortable and prepared for their responsibilities, emphasizing not only the technical skills involved in transportation but also the importance of customer service in healthcare settings. Candidates for this role should have recent experience (within 5 to 10 years) driving box trucks or straight trucks and be comfortable entering patients' homes, clinics, and hospitals. Professionalism and a strong customer service mindset are crucial, as the role involves frequent interaction with patients and healthcare staff.
The compensation for this role is competitive, offering an hourly wage of $24.50, coupled with a package of general benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as an IRA savings option. This combination of meaningful work, a stable schedule, and attractive benefits makes the Non CDL and CDL Truck Driver position at ProDrivers an excellent opportunity for those seeking rewarding and reliable employment in the healthcare logistics field.
