Job Description

Flamingo is an innovative all-in-one resident engagement mobile app designed to elevate the living experience in luxury residential apartment buildings. The company specializes in providing a premium range of services that include resident events, fitness classes, and concierge offerings tailored specifically for upscale residential communities. Flamingo's commitment to creating vibrant and engaging community environments is reflected in its diverse range of resident events, which feature culinary experiences such as cooking classes, catered parties, and specialty culinary events. These experiences are crafted to delight residents and foster a sense of community within their living spaces.

Flamingo is currently seeking experienced chefs who are passionate about sharing their culinary expertise with the company’s customers. This freelance position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled chefs to engage directly with residents through dynamic and interactive cooking classes and catered events. The role is designed for culinary professionals who thrive in a social, energetic environment and who possess the ability to deliver engaging, informative, and enjoyable cooking experiences. Although the pay rate is negotiable, this role provides chefs the chance to expand their professional presence and connect with a discerning clientele in luxury residential settings.

As a chef working with Flamingo, you will be expected to facilitate a variety of cooking classes covering a wide range of cuisines including sushi, pasta, desserts, Italian dishes, and other popular culinary styles. You will be the face of Flamingo during these events, responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience by maintaining professionalism and an upbeat attitude to keep participants engaged. Your role will require you to arrive early to each event to prepare and organize the setup, ensure the event runs smoothly and on schedule, and take photos to capture the experience. Post-event, communicating feedback to the team and inputting attendance data will be essential for continuous improvement and maintaining high standards. To perform effectively, access to email and phone communication is necessary to coordinate and manage the logistics of each event.

This freelance opportunity requires availability mostly during the evenings from Monday through Friday between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, with additional availability on weekends for special events. Such scheduling flexibility allows you to manage your time effectively while contributing to creating memorable experiences for Flamingo’s clients. The freelance nature of the position offers a great deal of autonomy, making it ideal for chefs seeking part-time culinary engagements alongside other commitments.

To apply, candidates must submit a brief cover letter accompanied by a resume and any relevant chef certifications. While immediate positions may not be available, Flamingo maintains a roster of qualified chefs to deploy as demand arises, ensuring a steady influx of opportunities for those looking to collaborate with the brand. This role is a perfect fit for chefs who enjoy teaching, interacting with people, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences in a high-end residential context.
