Job Description

Flamingo is a cutting-edge resident engagement platform designed to enhance the living experience within luxury residential apartment communities. As an all-in-one mobile app, Flamingo offers a variety of premium services such as resident events, fitness classes, and concierge offerings. Their mission centers around creating vibrant and engaging communities through unique experiences like cooking classes, catered parties, and culinary events. Flamingo is dedicated to connecting residents with exceptional lifestyle opportunities and fostering social connections that make living in a residential community enjoyable and memorable.

The company is currently seeking passionate and experienced chefs who are eager to share their culinary skills and engage with residents through interactive cooking classes and catering services. This freelance position offers flexibility and the chance to work within upscale apartment communities, delivering unforgettable culinary events that cater to diverse tastes and preferences.

Chefs joining Flamingo will be instrumental in executing a wide range of cooking classes, including but not limited to sushi, pasta, desserts, and Italian cuisine. They will act as the face of the Flamingo brand, ensuring a professional, energetic, and engaging atmosphere that delights residents. The role requires availability mainly during evening hours from Monday to Friday between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, with additional opportunities to work on weekends. Successful candidates must arrive before each event to set up and prepare the space, manage event timelines, and foster a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the experience.

Beyond cooking, chefs will be responsible for documenting events by taking photographs, providing post-event feedback to the Flamingo team, and utilizing digital tools to input attendance data swiftly and accurately. Effective communication skills are vital, as maintaining contact via email and phone with the Flamingo team and residents is a core part of the job. This role is particularly suitable for certified or licensed chefs with 2-3 years of experience in facilitating cooking classes or catering services.

Given the impacts of COVID-19, Flamingo prioritizes the safety and well-being of both their team members and customers. They are proactively recruiting talented professionals to join their team for future opportunities that will become available once shelter-in-place and stay-at-home restrictions ease. While the pay rate for this freelance position is negotiable, it offers an exciting chance to be part of an innovative company reshaping resident engagement through culinary arts and lifestyle services. Candidates are invited to apply by sending a brief cover letter along with their resume and certifications. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking company committed to exceptional resident experiences and community building in the luxury residential sector.
